School History
Glasgow High School, opened in Fall 1973, was built to accommodate more than 2,000 students. It was the third high school in the Newark Special School District. The school's building was designed by Wilmington architects Wason, Tingle & Brust.
Since its founding in 1973, more than 12,000 students have graduated from Glasgow High School. Although much continues to change in the world, Glasgow High School remains true to its core commitment: educating each student to exceed academic standards, preparing students to be responsible citizens in the future, and providing students with a variety of challenging opportunities in a safe and supportive environment enriched by diverse resources.
In 2021, the Christina School District moved it's administration office into a portion of the Glasgow High School building. The building is currently the home of the Glasgow High School and the Christina School District Administration Office.
